This is the second painting in the Garden Bird series which will be launched next year. All the bird pics in the series where shot over a two month period.
Shot via a full frame camera using a quality 400mm telescope as the lens to capture the detail. The pictures where shot remotely using Canon's Digital Photo Professional software.
Both birds where shot in seperate sessions and composited together. Particular attention is given to the direction of the light falling on the birds and the time of day otherwise it would
of been difficult to recreate the same tonal and colour values.
