Client originally ordered one commissioned painting of 'Blue'. We didn't have any good reference photos so she opted for a photo shoot. The sky was grey but the light was good. Blue played ball and ran up and down the beach, it was high tide.
After seeing the photo's after the shoot, she didn't know which photo to use for the painting, in the end two commissions were placed.
This painting was a shot taken as she was about to throw the ball, you can see the excitment in his eyes.
