Images taken via mobile phone by the client. A number of pictures was submitted.
This photo was chosen as Malik's profile is at a slight angle and not just 'face on' adding more depth
and interest to the portrait. It also has both sharp and out of focus elements especially around the ears and the back of the head adding to the dynamics of the image.
Every portrait has its own unique challenges. Malik is no exception. The fur colour has hints of violet and purple and trying to achieve the same tone from layering the pastels was quite challenging.
