Source image is a hightone digital photograph. Most of the data was in the highlights with little midtone and shadow.
Highlights recovered and midtones increased leaving the skin tones with more warm, rich pinks and reds. The difficulty with this piece was the shape of the cheeks, more so the right, due to the girl smiling.
